About the Photographer
 
I am a 56 year old Landscape and Portrait Photographer based in Skelmersdale, West Lancashire.
 
I've had a varied career over the years working as an engineer in the Royal Navy, a CCTV and Access Control  engineer travelling all over the UK and a brief spell at Fujifilm in Bedford, setting up and calibrating their photo lab machines before dispatch to customers. During this time my hobby of photography has never been far away.
 
I believe that as far as photographers go I fall in amongst those who have the eye and creative ability to capture those priceless moments as they happen, before they slip away and become lost forever in the realms of time and space.
 
I don't profess to be Dr Who but I will say this ......."in years to come my images will still be as inspiring as the day that they were created, transporting you back to a point in time where your thoughts will recall memories as though they had only just happened yesterday."
 
When I'm not posting my flyers around the houses in Skelmersdale or putting them into shop windows then I'm usually practicing my photography and fine tuning my camera skills.
 
Company history
 
I set up my photography business in 2009 through the government's new deal 50 plus programme after being made redundant in 2007. I decided to turn my lifelong hobby into a career.
 
The past four years have seen me undergo a vast amount of training and mentoring through Business-Link based at The Investment Centre, White Moss Business Park, Skelmersdale.
 
This period has also seen me studying creative design at Southport College, photography at Skelmersdale and Ormskirk College, Photographic Training in Wedding, Boudoir and Portrait Photography plus Studio and Location Lighting taught by other professional members of the SWPP who specialise in those fields.
 
Last but not least, a Diploma in Professional Photography with the Institute of Professional Photographers.
